Vehicle History Authority

Vin Verification

A VIN is the vehicle's unique 17-character identifier. Compare it across the vehicle, registration documents, inspection evidence, and any history report before relying on the record.

VIN verification checklist

  1. Locate the 17-character VIN on the dashboard or body plate; do not rely on an advertisement alone.
  2. Compare every character with the registration card, inspection record, insurance document, and seller-provided history report.
  3. Stop if a VIN is missing, altered, inconsistent, or attached over another plate, and seek an authorized inspection.
  4. Confirm that the decoded make, model, model year, and manufacturing details match the physical vehicle.
  5. Treat a VIN match as an identity check—not proof of accident-free condition, ownership, finance clearance, or legal status.

AutoMarketDrive does not currently provide an official government VIN lookup. Buyers should verify records with the relevant UAE authority, insurer, inspection provider, or licensed data source.
