Vehicle inspection reduces risk for buyers and improves trust for sellers. A proper inspection should cover mechanical condition, exterior condition, interior condition, documents, and road performance.
Check exterior condition
Look for uneven paint, panel gaps, rust, scratches, dents, repaint signs, broken lights, windscreen cracks, and tyre wear.
Review engine, transmission, and known model issues
Check for abnormal sounds, smoke, oil leakage, overheating, weak acceleration, warning lights, transmission behavior, and service history. Also research common problems for the exact model because a Corolla, Civic, Tucson, Sportage, or BMW X5 can have different inspection priorities.
Test drive the vehicle
During a test drive, check steering response, braking, suspension noise, gear shifting, acceleration, air conditioning, and dashboard warnings.
